Nina Asrani, M.D., was born in the Bronx, N.Y., but grew up in Fort Worth. She received her bachelor's degree from Rice University in Houston as a dual major in biochemistry and Spanish literature and graduated with high honors from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.She completed training in internal medicine at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where she also served as a chief resident at their VA hospital.
